I Splurged on a Tea Bath

A 3 a.m. wellness spiral led me to finally try a tea bath — not the neon bath bombs of my twenties, but a thoughtfully crafted botanical soak from Inoki Bathhouse. After a year of hesitating over the price (and hearing my inner Nonna scold me), I realized that self‑care isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity, especially after navigating my husband’s medical crisis and early motherhood.

The experience surprised me at every step: the rich scent of Milk Oolong, coconut, florals, and fresh oats; the ritual of steeping botanicals; the chamomile flowers drifting in the water; and the deep, muscle‑melting calm that lingered long after the bath ended. It wasn’t just relaxation — it was clarity, the kind that arrives when you finally give yourself permission to pause.

Inoki’s attention to detail made the ritual feel supported and intentional, and while I have small notes for future iterations, the bath delivered exactly what I needed: nourishment, softness, and a moment of genuine restoration.
